Benjamin Von Wong’s Dreamlike Fantasy Shoot

Les Chasseurs de Reves 01

Benjamin Von Wong’s photoshotos and behind the scenes posts have always impressed us. Whether it is an awesome underwater shoot, firebreathing shoot, or a Fight-Club like rock band shoot, he takes photography up another notch.

In today’s photo adventure, Benjamin Von Wong is shooting the Les Chasseurs de Reves (The Dream Catchers) . These bird creatures are the creation of Jocelyne Meugnier and Julien Gabriel and the photoshoot took place in a large park in Mont Royal, Montreal. Wanting to keep the birds moving through the forest, Ben’s crew kept the handful of Paul Buff White Lightning and Einsteins studio strobes mobile. For the most part, it looks like they used a lot of the Parabolic Light Modifier umbrellas.

Some of the difficulties that Ben talks about, aside from the environment and the large onlookers, include having to properly expose all three subjects, one which was in light colors and the other two in dark colors.

Be sure to read the rest of his post on how he shot the Les Chasseurs de Reves!
